What is Nerdlesque?

Nerdlesque is a form of burlesque that parodies pop culture, particularly beloved geeky territories like comic books and video games. Nerdlesque combines the creativity of cosplay with the anything goes possibilities of neo-burlesque and the smart satire of classic burlesque. It celebrates and empowers performers and audiences of all shapes and sizes. Nerdlesque is daring, sexy, intelligent, humorous, and isn’t afraid to get a little weird and wild.
Nerdlesque NYC shows are a chance for performers and audiences to celebrate the things they love most in the world. It’s about the stories and characters that make us who we are as individuals and as a culture. We’re committed to creating a welcoming space for performers of all shapes and backgrounds to create awesome burlesque and audiences of all types to revel in all their wild geeky glory.
About Nerdlesque NYC
Nerdlesque NYC is the creation of performers Persé Fanny and Vincent Gallant. These two ridiculous nerds have performed burlesque and nerdlesque across the country. Down in New Orleans, they co-produced NOLA Nerdlesque Festival, a pop-culture parody burlesque festival that ran for five glorious years.
Nerdlesque NYC currently produces monthly shows presented at the world-famous Slipper Room at 167 Orchard Street in the Lower East Side.

This isn’t quite what you call legitimate theatre. We’ll break the fourth wall and give you opportunities to join the fun. Don’t worry, it’s not mandatory.
